The Missing Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix

The Missing Book 1
This is an exilerating science fiction tale that leaves readers on the edge of their seat wanting more. It is about an incident that happened 13 years ago. What happened was that one day, Angelia Dupree was leading a normal life until she saw it. The plane. When you work at an airplane line then seeing an airplane should come as normal. But this one was off the radar charts and was unidentified. If that isn't wierd, then consider that the only people pon board were 36 babies. Absolutley NO adults whatsoever. Flash forward 13 years later and Jonah and Chip, 2 adopted friends are having a regular life. Tests, girlfriends, bullies and annoying siblings. One day though, Jonah recieves a letter will only 6 words. You are one of the missing. When Chip recieves the same note and so do 34 other 13-year-old children, what will happen? Why are the FBI involved with the adoptions? In this novel you will have humour, suspence and TIME TRAVEL! Follow Jonah, Chip and Katherine,Jonah's younger sister, as they race to find their true identities and stop the kidnapping of 36 kids. I was overall satasfied with this book. It kept me reading and double reading. Although some sci-fiction parts were hard to understand, it all makes sence in the end, you just have to wait. There are 7 books in the series in total. The first book was titled 'Found'. It is followed by Sent. I have also read this book. Following Jonah, Chip, Katherine and new character, Alex, as they fight for their lives in the 14th century. The question we all ask is 'Who is Jonah?'. Keep reading!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series

Picture
Percy Jackson Book 1
What a fantastic series. It has humour, romance, adventure and suspence. I loved it SO much. I love so many books but I can proudly say that this series is next to Fablehaven and Airborn on my favourite book list! I love that you can see how the characters evolve in time. Percy and Annabeth's relationship is so funny and romantic. Even though I hate Rachel Elizabeth Dare, her  character makes the novel more modern. The fact that 2 girls like the same boy is a concept that never gets old and Rick Riordan creates the perfect novel. It couldn't have been better. Rick includes greek mythology and and a story plot. Real figures of mythology like Medusa and the 12 gods. The plot is completly unique and spectacular by all means. There are 5 books in the series: The Lightning Theif, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan's Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian. A movie based on the books is created too! I am sad however that the series has come to an end. Camp-halfblood is too good to be gone! Luckily, another series is starting but sadly our characters Percy, Annabeth, Grover etc. will not be the stars. Instead, new demigods will take there place. According to the new prophecy, there will be 7 new heroes.Perhaps Grover and Juniper will have some more drama or the love traingle of Percy, Annabeth and Grover. Maybe, Dionyes's punishment has been reduced and he is gone! Let's find out! Oh, and I want to thank Dora for recommending this book series to me and letting me borrow it.

Fablehaven Book 1
Many people who know me, know that I am a Fablehaven megafan! Ever since I picked up a copy at Chapters, I have been hooked! Fablehaven rules and I will often tell you of it's upcoming books. So far it has 4 books in its series but the best author alive, Brandon Mull, is writing the fifth and last one. I can't wait! It is coming out this March on the 14th. You have to read it. The first book is about siblings, Kendra and Seth who visit their grandparents at a magical preserve. There they encounter scary monsters and figures of our imagination like mermaids. Luckily, the house and yard are safe from evil becuase of the treaty and unspoken rules. But when Seth breaks the rules he puts the whole family in danger. With all the adults under a spell, it is up to the unlikey duo, Seth and Kendra to save the day. But can they return order back to the preserve before the demon Zzyyxx is released or will they perish trying? I rate this book 5 stars for its suspence and humor. It is a captivating read that both girls and boys between the age level 10 and above will enjoy. I have also read the second, third and fourth book. They all are awesome! I am SO sad that the series is ending but it is SO suspenceful just waiting for it to be out. So what are you waiting for, go read it! There is also a website just go to, www.fablehaven.com for yourself!
